14th August

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,

Mohtaram Shaikh Sahab has blessed us with the guidance that on the occasion of 14th August, the day of your independence, you should show gratitude to Allah Taala. Mohtaram Shaikh Sahab has said that it is not compulsory, but a suggestion, to perform two nafl or as many as you can in gratitude.

Astagfirullah: 100-1000 times
La ilaha illallah: 100-1000 times 
Durood Shareef: 100-1000 times

Then read the dua below with durood shareef before and after:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَرِضَاءَ نَفْسِهِ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَتِهِ ( آمين)

We should be grateful that Allah Taala has given us an independent country and Allah Taala did not punish us but forgave us. If it is not a burden, we should give 5 to 10 rupees with the intention of charity to someone poor.
Allah Taala has not made us from one of those nations who have been put through adversity, and Allah Taala has not imposed upon us people who do not know Allah Paak. 

It is a blessing of Allah Taala that we are Independent.

Additionally, if it is not a burden, give 1 kg of sugar and a box of biscuits to any poor person. Don’t give this as a favour, but as a gift with love. Those brothers who have the means or  capacity should give 1 kg of meat, 1 kg of potatoes or one meal of the day to any poor person.

Keep this method noted in a diary as such guidance comes in handy.

When a problem is resolved such as finding a job, achieving peace, having enemies relent, overcoming obstacles to marriage or whenever any other problem is resolved, ensure to use this method as explained above because this is the way of the Prophet ﷺ and will increase your blessings.

The understanding of a verse in Quran Shareef is that if you are grateful then Allah will increase his blessings upon you even more.
This method is not just for the 14th of August. Rather, whenever a brother faces any problem and it is resolved, he should try to complete this method as explained.

The amount of wazaif read for the occasion of 14th August should be submitted by 13th August, Maghrib prayer to your local mehfil or by calling Multan Shareef.

The understanding of Al-Mohtaram Shaikh Sahab’s teachings is to read these two verses during these days, or if possible, read them once or twice after each prayer during the month of Rabi al-Awwal:

وَجَبَ الشُّکْرُ عَلَیْنَا مَا دَعٰی لِلّٰهِ دَاعِ
اَیُّهَا الْمَبْعُوثُ فِیْنَا جِئْتَ بِالاَْمْرِ الْمُطَاعِ
طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَیْنَا مِنْ ثَنِیَّاتِ الْوَدَاعِ
وَجَبَ الشُّکْرُ عَلَیْنَا مَا دَعٰی لِلّٰهِ دَاعِ

Furthermore, the understanding of Al-Mohtaram Shaikh Sahab’s teachings is:
To the extent of your ability and love, express your joy for the arrival of the Prophet ﷺ and spend out of love for the Prophet ﷺ, InshaAllah. Listen to the audio Taleem Shareef for further details. 

The understanding of Al-Mohtaram Shaikh Sahab’s teachings is:
For three days (the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Rabi al-Awwal), those who can should illuminate their homes, have good food, and give some charity.

All brothers should read the following for the blessed occasion of Rabi al-Awwal:

• Qul Shareef (Surah Ikhlaas)
